Faculty Awards: Two Deadlines Extended

The deadline for two of the university's faculty awards has been extended. One of them is a new award for public service with a $5,000 cash prize from TIAA-CREF.  In addition, nominations remain open for several other faculty awards.

The Faculty Awards Awards Web site carries full details about award criteria and nominations procedures. The approaching deadlines include:

George Rieveschl Jr. Award for Creative or Scholarly Works: Jan. 31.
Faculty Senate University Service Award:  Jan. 31.
Distinguished Research Professor:  Feb. 1.
Adjunct Faculty Award: Feb. 1.
George Rieveschl Jr. Award for Distinguished Scientific Research: Feb. 1.
UC|21 President’s Excellence Award: Extended to Feb. 2.
TIAA-CREF Faculty Award for Distinguished Public Service: Extended to Feb. 2.
Emerging Entrepreneur Award: Feb. 19.
Established Entrepreneur Award: Feb. 19.

The awards will be presented at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at TUC's Great Hall in a university-wide celebration.
