UC Readies for RecycleMania 2007 Competition

The following information comes from Senior Associate Vice President Peg Allensworth from Administration and Finance:

The University of Cincinnati will compete with colleges and universities across the nation in RecycleMania, January 28, 2007 through April 7, 2007, in an effort to raise awareness of recycling and waste minimization. Schools compete to collect the most recyclables per student or net the highest recycling rate.

The winning school takes home the RecycleMania trophy and national recognition.

For this year’s competition, UC’s students, faculty and staff are encouraged to bring catalogs, books, junk mail, newspaper, magazines, office paper and phone books, as well as #1 and #2 plastics, aluminum, glass or steel cans to one of UC’s recycling locations. For locations, visit www.uc.edu/admserv/recyclingDrop.asp.
