UC Highlighted As A National Model in Teacher Education
Today the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) the national organization that ensures quality in teacher education, is announcing new requirements to transform teacher education programs. Holly Johnson, director of the University of Cincinnatis School of Education for the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH), was featured at the national briefing in Washington, D.C., to describe a UC program that exemplifies this new direction in teaching excellence.

UCs College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services has been dedicated to excellence in teaching for 104 years. The college prepares students to work in diverse communities, provides continual professional development and fosters education leadership at the local, state, national and international levels. In 2006, the college was honored by the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) for innovations in preparing future teachers.
