'T1' Pilot Grants Available for Clinical and Translational Research

The Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST) announces the next competition cycle for its “T1” pilot project grant program.  Proposals are requested to fund T1 translational research, which seeks to apply clinical or basic research knowledge in an identifiable pathway towards the development of trials and studies in humans. Ancient Maya blessed their ballcourts

Using environmental DNA analysis, researchers identified a collection of plants used in ceremonial rituals in the ancient Maya city of Yaxnohcah. The plants, known for their religious associations and medicinal properties, were discovered beneath a plaza floor upon which a ballcourt was built, suggesting the building might have been blessed or consecrated during construction.
