UC to Host NASA's Chief Technologist Oct. 22

The Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics will host a special seminar at

10:30 a.m.,

Tuesday, Oct. 22

, in the Engineering Research Center, Room 427. Guest speaker, Mason Peck, NASA chief technologist, will speak on "NASA Technology Investments: Building Our Future in Space.”

As the chief technology advocate, Peck helps communicate how NASA technologies benefit space missions and the day-to-day lives of Americans. Peck has a broad background in aerospace technology, built upon nearly 20 years of experience in industry and academia. He has worked with NASA as an engineer on a variety of technology programs, including the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System and Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites.
