, in Room 427, Engineering Research Center.

Please join us in celebrating these bright women as they present their results and valuable contributions from the summer of hard work on research projects in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) disciplines.

About WISE REWU

Talented undergraduate women in STEM majors at the University of Cincinnati are given the opportunity to participate in summer research projects through WISE REWU.

Undergraduate students work closely with an experienced faculty advisor/researcher on ongoing research projects. In addition to carrying out the research, students are involved in interpreting the results of the research, deriving conclusions, and preparing and presenting a technical report and paper.

This year includes 23 students in majors including astrophysics, Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Communication Sciences & Disorders, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Nursing, Pediatrics, and Science and Health (Clermont).  Their projects cover a broad spectrum of topics including:

A Novel Approach to 3D Printing of Metal Parts

,

Integrated Wheelchair Positioning Systems

,

Community Concerns of Hydraulic Fracturing in Eastern Ohio

, and many more.
