Garden for the Health of It with Communiversity
This spring, Communiversity at the University of Cincinnati is offering a garden-focused wellness program developed by Stacy Best, master gardener and certified personal fitness chef, health practitioner and armoatherpist. Stacys journey to her own health and happiness has been a challenging one. Although she was working out every day and eating well, her high-pressure corporate job was ruining her health. It wasnt until she started considering gardening as the center of her wellness practice that her well-being started to heal.
The "Garden for the Health of It" program will provide you with an introductory plan to get the most health benefits from gardening. You will learn how to structure garden practices for a healthy mind, body, soul and environment; how to avoid next-day soreness and injury while burning up calories in the garden; how to whip up healthy, simple and fast dishes at home using home-grown goodness; and how to capitalize on the stress-reducing benefits that gardening provides and implement self-care practices.
