UC Breast Cancer Registry Receives $10,000
UC's Breast Cancer Registry, a major data resource for medical researchers, has received a $10,000 donation from the Breast Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (BCA).
Established by Susan Pinney, PhD, associate professor, and Katie Brown, PhD, assistant professor, both of the UC Department of Environmental Health, the registry provides data on the incidence of breast cancer in the Tristate, including possible environmental factors. The registry also serves as a source for volunteers for various studies, breast cancer advocacy and education.
Any person, male or female, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, is eligible to provide information to the registry. Contact outreach coordinator Andrea Ice at 513-558-0854, or e-mail
