Vontz Center Listed Among Amazing U.S. College Buildings

The Vontz Center for Molecular Studies on UC’s medical campus has been included among the "most amazing examples of college architecture” by the website topcollegesonline.org.

The Frank Gehry-designed building was No. 38 on the list of 50 examples of intellectually stimulating and architecturally interesting buildings and landscaping on American college campuses.

The examples selected "go a long way towards creating loved college campuses” and the website noted that "a quality campus plays a significant part in creating a quality learning environment and successful educational experience.”

UC is the only university with four buildings on the list. Others included are the Steger Student Life Center at No. 35, the Engineering Research Center at No. 30 and the Campus Recreation Center at No. 11.
