* 12-month contracts begin with summer semester 2016 and extend through spring semester 2017. See Terms and Conditions for more information regarding 12-month contracts.

** Indicates the average cost to students who have signed a 12-month contract. In effect, students who have signed a 12-month contract live on campus during summer semester for only $1200, the difference between the Academic Year total and the 12-Month total. Students who have not signed a 12-month contract and who continue to live on campus during summer semester will be charged the full "By the Semester" rate.

*** All academic break periods (Winter Break & Spring Break) are included in the base price of Morgens Hall and University Park Apartments. All other halls exclude break periods from the academic year contract.

2016-2017 Meal Plan Rates

Meals on the plans may be used at MarketPointe@SiddallCenterCourt and  StadiumView Café dining centers, as well as grab-and-go equivalancy options at DAAP Café, Catskeller and the new CourtsideExpress. For increased convenience and flexibility StadiumView Café offers a to-go option. Unused meals from 186 Block Plan or Campus Dining Plans do not carry over to the next term.

First Year On-Campus Residents

First year students who have a housing contract through Housing and Food Services are required to purchase a residential meal plan. Per the terms and conditions of the housing agreement they are not eligible to purchase a Campus Dining Pass or to forego purchasing a meal plan.

Residential Unlimited Meal Plan

This plan offers students maximum flexibility to meet the needs of any eating schedule. Students have the freedom to eat a full meal or to just stop by to grab a snack. The format of this plan eliminates the need to budget meals per week and allows students to enjoy eating at the pace that works best for them. 

For added value the unlimited meal plan comes with fifteen additional meals that you can use to treat a guest and $150 Bearcat Card dollars.

**Bearcat Card (BCC) dollars are added to the student's ID as part of the meal plan. The BCC dollars may be spent at any on-campus food location (incuding the Dining Centers) as well as off-campus locations participating in the BCC program. BCC dollars carry over from one semester to the next, and refund of any unspent BCC dollars is available upon request at the end of spring semester or upon leaving UC.


Campus Dining Pass

Campus Dining Pass plans are available to upper-class residential students, commuter students, staff, and faculty. It's a convenient, fresh, healthy option for all-you-care-to-eat meals when on campus!

Per the terms and conditions of the housing agreement, first year on-campus residents are not eligible to purchase the plans listed below.

If a student runs out of meals mid-term, they can purchase an additional Campus Dining Pass to add more swipes and Bearcat Card (BCC) dollars to their card. Mix and match different plans to come up with the number of meals that works best for you!

Break Rates & Information for Residents


Spring Break Housing Information

What

The residence halls will close for Spring Break on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 6 p.m.  We offer a flexible program based on need: partial stay or full stay on campus, in between semesters, break housing.

Eligibility

To be eligible to stay in the residence halls during for Spring Break you must be registered for 2017 Spring Semester classes and have a signed Housing Agreement. Please complete this application and submit it to the Office of Housing and Food Services in Stratford Heights, Building 16 in the basement by 5:00 p.m. March 6, 2017 to take advantage of the discounted pricing. 12-month contract residents do not need to apply for break housing.

Available Dates

Saturday, March 11 at noon until Saturday, March 18 at  9 a.m. (These are the dates and times to organize your move.)

Deadline

Priority deadline to apply AND receive a reduced rate is Monday, March 6, 2017.

To Apply

Submit the break housing form to the Housing & Food Services office in person, located in Stratford Heights, Building 16, basement level. Space is limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Forms must be received no later than March 6, 2017 to secure break housing. 

Notification

Break assignments will be communicated via email from HFS to your UConnect account between March 7 -9. Note: you may be relocated to a temporary break housing assignment, depending on the status of your permanent residence hall community.

Dining Services

The Dining Centers will close for Spring Break on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. Meal service will resume at 7 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017. For information about dining options during Spring Break please visit the Dining Services website for more information.

Summer Rates

Current residents may transition to thier summer assignments on May 2, 2017. 

New summer residents may move-in begining at 10 a.m., May 7, 2017.

All residents are required to check in at the front desk of their assigned hall community.
