‘UC News’ newsletter to replace E-Currents
To amplify the university’s important messaging and further align with the goals of Next Lives Here, UC’s strategic direction, the university has developed a brand new weekly newsletter that will replace E-Currents starting next week.
The weekly "UC News" newsletter is edited by the content team in Marketing + Communications (formerly Governmental Relations and University Communications) and closely models the look and feel of the new web-based news system that launched in August 2018. The newsletter will circulate via email every Wednesday to UC faculty and staff (as well as subscribers) starting Wednesday, Nov. 7.
NOTE: Due to list-management policies within Constant Contact (our e-mail marketing provider) the first distribution of "UC News" must go out in batches and may take up to 48 hours for all recipients to receive the first edition.
The reimagined ”UC News" is built on a modern, more-visual platform expected to heighten engagement with the campus community. Weekly content sections will include “Featured Stories,” “UC in the News,” “News You Can Use” “Photo of the Week” and “Events.” Each edition will also include direct links to college and unit-level news pages.
Communicators across campus will be able to submit content for the publication by creating stories in UC News online, then by using a simple submission form to propose this content for inclusion in the newsletter.
Questions can be directed via email to the UC News Team or by calling John Bach, associate director of public relations, at 513-556-5224.
Explore the UC News online platform to read recent content.
