UC Real Estate Roundtable Series kicks off Oct. 4
Urban Land Institute and UC Real Estate Center jointly present the first 2019-20 UC Roundtable Series program
How will the Greater Cincinnati region accommodate the growth that is forecasted to occur in the first half of the 21st century?
Will our elected officials, business and institutional leaders, and other stakeholders in our region work together to identify common ground and plan for land use and development that leads to an economically and environmentally sustainable future?
If our individual cities and counties continue to compete with one another for jobs and resources, will this result in a continuation of the 20th-century pattern of sprawling, unconnected, and unsustainable growth?
The October conference, program jointly presented by the UC Real Estate Center and Urban Land Institute, will feature a leading advocate for economic development, education, healthcare and the arts in Greater Cincinnati. John F. Barrett, chairman, president and CEO of Western & Southern Financial Group, will provide his perspective on how Cincinnati has changed and what it will take for the city and region to continue moving so we stay relevant and sustainable.
In addition, Frank Cohen, a senior managing director with Blackstone, will be coming “home” to Cincinnati to explain how his experience and expertise in 308,000 residential units and homes, 231 million square feet of office, 75 million square feet of retail, 561 million square feet in logistical facilities and 151,000 hotel keys around the globe can help advocate for the continued moving of Cincinnati and the region towards growth.
This program is an opportunity to hear from these thought leaders and take a closer look at the vision of how Cincinnati can effectively move towards impactful growth.
