UC Faculty & Staff Campaign Co-Chairs Announced
Co-chairs have been announced for the 2019-20 UC Faculty & Staff Campaign. Selected to lead this year’s effort are Jeff Bauer, Dean of UC Clermont College; Carolyn “Carney” Sotto, Professor/Educator in the College of Allied Health Sciences; and Daniel Cummins, Assistant Dean of Students.
A long-time dynamic and devoted member of the UC community as a professor and in various academic leadership roles, Dean Bauer is currently chair of UC’s Council of Deans. He has invaluable experience building and maintaining relationships with faculty and staff, fundraising, managing resources, and maintaining effective relationships with other university units.
A member of last year’s Faculty & Staff Campaign Steering Committee, Dr. Sotto brings experience inspiring campus partners and units to support the university in various ways and has numerous faculty and staff relationships across campus. As someone who continuously invests in UC students, she looks forward to encouraging others to do the same. Since she began promoting the senior gift challenge ten years ago, Dr. Sotto successfully obtained 100% giving participation from the seniors in her program.
Assistant Dean Cummins is well known for his work in the founding and ongoing support of the Bearcats Pantry, a storeroom that provides free food, hygiene items and cleaning supplies to students with food and other insecurities. He has been a devoted UC leader and volunteer for decades, including helping lead last year’s successful Faculty & Staff Campaign.
The campaign aims to enlist 100% participation from UC employees. Gifts of any size count toward participation, and all donors will be entered to win Bearcats basketball tickets. Gifts are tax-deductible and can be made as one-time payments or through payroll deduction. Competition between colleges and units will be ongoing through the end of the fiscal year.
More information about the campaign, and the opportunity to give now, can be found here.
