Giving Made Easier: New Portal Launches for Faculty, Staff Giving
Please support United Way, Community Shares, ArtsWave and UC Faculty and Staff campaigns
University of Cincinnati President Neville Pinto announces a new employee giving portal to support community and UC Foundation campaigns.
Dear Faculty and Staff,
It has long been part of the University of Cincinnati’s mission and identity to engage with our amazing hometown of Cincinnati for local and global impact. Every year, we as faculty and staff of the University of Cincinnati are asked to give to four different employee giving campaigns that support very important causes in our region: United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Community Shares, ArtsWave and our own university through the Faculty-Staff Campaign of the UC Foundation.
Beginning this fall, we are increasing efficiencies and making giving to these worthy causes easier and more convenient. With the help of the UC Foundation, we have developed one link that allows you to access a portal to make your donation to each of these important organizations. Each of these initiatives have a significant impact on the quality of life in our region, and I urge you to support them to the best of your ability. While we are streamlining the process to donate, we want you to know that your donations to each are profoundly significant to their ability to serve our region and make our community vibrant and healthy.
The link to make your donation can be found at the Employee Giving Portal. The site is operational year-round and can also be found under the "I Want To" section of Bearcats Landing, the new UC intranet. United Way and Community Shares traditionally seek donations by the end of the calendar year, ArtsWave traditionally seeks them throughout the spring, and the UC Foundation seeks them throughout the fiscal year (ending June 30 of each year). Please keep in mind that only gifts to the UC Foundation count towards the “UC the Impact” Faculty and Staff Campaign.
To contribute, you will need to enter your desired gift for each organization you wish to support. You may sign up for payroll deduction or you can make credit card donations directly. If making a credit card donation, please make sure to mark the University of Cincinnati in the field for “Corporate Campaign” (where available).
Thank you in advance for making an impact by supporting these key organizations.
With gratitude,
Neville Pinto
President
