Cincinnati Enquirer: CCM alum Eric Santagata returns from Broadway to become head of musical theatre program
The Broadway vet will return to his alma mater in August
Broadway veteran Eric Santagata will return to his alma mater in August as University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music's Patricia A. Corbett Distinguished Chair of Musical Theatre. Santagata will also be an associate professor at the university.
Santagata graduated from CCM in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre.
“The tools and training I honed here have been the backbone of my career," Santagata told the university. "I look forward to having the opportunity to take the knowledge I’ve accrued in the professional entertainment industry and focus it into a curriculum that speaks to the tradition that CCM is founded on, while ushering it into a new era of success.”

UC College-Conservatory of Music Dean Pete Jutras has announced the appointment of Hiram Diaz as CCM's Visiting Artist of Euphonium for 2026-27. A CCM alumnus (BM Euphonium Performance, 2007), Diaz's visiting appointment begins this fall.
