A journalist for Reuters Health spoke with Dr. Michael Thomas, chair of the UC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, about recommendations for the use of donor uteruses for women wishing to conceive. His comments are part of a story reacting to a case study of a healthy baby delivered by cesarean hysterectomy to a 33-year-old women with a deceased-donor uterus. "There are definitely people who would want a procedure such as this,” said Thomas.
