WCPO: Work from home isn't going away anytime soon
UC economics expert says working from home shifts where dollars are spent
Had the pandemic work from home policies only lasted a few weeks, or months, we’d likely all be working the same as we did pre-COVID-19, says UC economist Michael Jones.
Instead, workplaces, spaces and spending have moved in different directions, perhaps permanently, says Jones, an assistant professor – educator in UC’s Department of Economics at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business.
These shifts, he says, are creating economic “winners and losers.”
