WVXU: Lawsuit claims city’s tax break program for homeowners is discriminatory

UC law professor discusses disparate impact claim and the Fair Housing Act

A group of Black residents in Cincinnati has filed a lawsuit against the city of Cincinnati alleging discrimination in how tax abatements are granted. Cincinnati Edition’s Michael Monks spoke with Nate Ela PhD, assistant professor of political science and law at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and Dan Horn, an investigative reporter with the Cincinnati Enquirer about the lawsuit.
