Afghan women share insights about their home country
The University of Cincinnati College of Law will host the panel “Our Stories: A Discussion with Afghan Women”, 3:00 p.m., Friday, Apr. 1, in Rm. 114 of the College of Law.
CLE: 2 CLE credits have been applied for.
The panel of Afghan women from different parts of the country and ethnic groups will discuss what it was like growing up in Afghanistan and the current situation facing women today.

Participants include:
Zuhal Salim is an employment services advisor at Upwardly Global. Ms. Salim is a former diplomat to the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations. She received her BA in political science from Kateb University and MA in international relations from New York University.
Hakima Afzaly received her BA in Asian studies from Asian University for Women in Bangladesh, an MA in critical gender studies from Central European University, and an MA in women and gender studies from the University of Northern Iowa.
Roquiya Sayeq is a data scientist at EA Langenfeld. She holds a BA in econometrics and received her MS in analytics from the University of Chicago.
Zamira Saidi is a ’22 JD candidate at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She received her BA in law and political science from Kabul University, an LLM from Brunel University in London, and an LLM from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
