Hoxworth Blood Center offering free zoo tickets to blood donors

Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati is teaming up with the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden to offer a free zoo ticket to lifesaving blood and platelet donors.

Everyone who donate at one of Hoxworth’s seven Neighborhood Donor Centers beginning Monday, April 4 through Sunday, April 24 will receive one free ticket to the Cincinnati Zoo. This incentive comes just in time to enjoy the Zoo’s Annual Tunes & Blooms Concert held each Thursday in April.

“Hoxworth is excited to partner with the Cincinnati Zoo to support our community’s blood supply,” said Alecia Lipton, spokesperson for Hoxworth Blood Center. “By donating blood later this week, donors will be able to save a life and also enjoy some time at one of Cincinnati’s most-loved attractions.”

Zoo tickets are valid through December 31, 2022. Appointments for blood donation are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Donors can schedule appointments by calling (513) 451-0910 or by scheduling online at hoxworth.org
