Tim Steigerwald, President of Messer Construction Company praises co-op at UC

Messer Construction, the largest general contractor based in Greater Cincinnati, is a big supporter of co-op employing about 90 college students as part of co-op experiences around the nation. Messer has locations in Cincinnati, Charlotte, Columbus, Nashville, Dayton, Indianapolis, Louisville, Lexington, Raleigh and Knoxville.  Messer is a leader in construction for projects in healthcare, higher education, sports entertainment and aviation.

Messer has handled construction for several projects at UC including the Health Sciences Building and UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute on medical campus along with other ongoing projects such as the Clifton Court Hall, Digital Futures Complex and the Calhoun residence hall.

Tim Steigerwald, president of Messer Construction, spoke with the host of Construction Brothers Podcast about improvements in the construction industry and the growing role of co-op. Stegerwald called out UC’s role in co-op, the university is ranked in the top four of schools providing co-op experiences for students nationally.  “UC’s program kind of set the standard for co-op in the country,” notes Stegerwald during the podcast.
