UC Football games to include enhanced security measures
Attendees to the University of Cincinnati Football games this season may notice some new security measures.
The perimeter area around Nippert Stadium has been expanded and, as a result, attendees will see more security personnel in the area to support the expanded perimeter. In addition, attendees may see slightly more police personnel than in previous seasons.
Finally, attendees will now be required to walk through metal detectors when entering the stadium. The University also implemented a clear bag policy to make entry quicker on game day.
“As the crowds have grown larger at the football games, we want to ensure the safety of all attendees. The well-being of those in attendance is our paramount concern,” said Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police Eliot Isaac.
He added, “We look forward to a successful and enjoyable season supporting our team.”
