Hoxworth Blood Center expands holiday hours to ensure vital blood products for local patients
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is adding additional holiday hours to ensure local patients have the blood products they need over the busy holiday season. All donors during the month of December will receive a pair of Hoxworth lounge pants and additional gifts as noted below.
Hoxworth is the sole blood provider for over 30 greater Cincinnati hospitals, and to offset the December 25 holiday closure, Hoxworth Blood Center has opened and extended hours to the below Neighborhood Donor Centers:
- Hoxworth North:
Saturday, December 16, OPEN 8:00am – 3:30pm (all donors receive a voucher for 2 Cincinnati Cyclones tickets in addition to the lounge pants)
Thursday, December 21, new additional appointments
- Hoxworth Central:
Monday, December 18, OPEN 8:00am – 3:30pm (platelets only, platelet donors receive a voucher for 2 Cincinnati Cyclones tickets in addition to the lounge pants)
Tuesday, December 26, OPEN 10:30am – 4:00pm
- Hoxworth West:
Saturday, December 23, OPEN 8:00am – 3:30pm
Hoxworth Blood Center operates seven Neighborhood Donor Centers with locations in Anderson, Blue Ash, Clifton (Central), Ft. Mitchell, KY, West Chester (North), Tri-County, and Western Hills (West), along with mobile blood drives Sunday through Saturday, making it convenient for donors to schedule their lifesaving donations.
