Catalyst maintenance set for October
Catalyst will be unavailable 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10, until 6 a.m., Monday, Oct. 13
Catalyst, the University of Cincinnati's student information system, will be unavailable from 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10, until 6 a.m., Monday, Oct. 13, during a planned IT maintenance window that coincides with the university’s Fall Reading Days schedule.
The maintenance will improve student information system performance, reliability and security.
What you can expect
Catalyst will not be accessible to students (or their parents/families), faculty or staff members until the maintenance window ends at 6 a.m., Monday, Oct. 13.
What you need to do
Before the upgrade starts
We recommend you complete any university-related business that requires you to login to Catalyst (https://catalyst.uc.edu) before 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10.
Here’s a list of common tasks that will not be available until access is restored at 6 a.m., Monday, Oct. 13:
- Update grades.
- Submit transcript requests, grade replacements, etc.
- Pay university-related bills.
- Or complete regular Catalyst business processes.
After the upgrade ends

The University of Cincinnati is making college more attainable for students across Ohio with the creation of the Bearcat Affordability Grant. The new grant will provide a pathway to tuition-free college for students of families who make less than $75,000 per year. Beginning in fall 2026, the Bearcat Affordability Grant will cover the remaining cost of tuition for Ohio residents who are Pell eligible.
