UC Law professors recognized for scholarly excellence

The University of Cincinnati College of Law celebrates two esteemed faculty members—Stephanie McMahon and Andrew Mamo—who have recently been honored with awards in recognition of their scholarly achievements.

Professor Stephanie McMahon

Professor Stephanie McMahon has been awarded the Harold C. Schott Scholarship Award for her exceptional body of work. A Professor of Law at Cincinnati Law, McMahon’s primary research focuses on tax law, particularly the relationship between taxation and the public's perception of tax policy, with a special emphasis on families and the application of administrative law to tax. Her scholarship extends to a diverse range of areas, including family law, criminal law, and the evolving landscape of legal education. Her recent publications have appeared in journals such as the Kentucky Law Journal, Pace Law Review, Pittsburgh Tax Review, and Tax Notes, with another article forthcoming in the Michigan Journal of Law Reform. In addition, she has several books either published, forthcoming, or under submission. Professor McMahon’s extensive and impactful research perfectly aligns with the high standards of the Schott Award, which recognizes outstanding research and scholarly achievement based on a faculty member's collective body of work.
