UC Day of Giving connects Bearcats across the globe

For 24 hours on April 8-9, this celebration underscores the profound impact of philanthropy and its ability to transform the UC and UC Health community.

UC Day of Giving will take place from noon on Tuesday, April 8, to noon on Wednesday, April 9. This 24-hour event brings together the global Bearcat community to support the causes they hold most dear. Whether large or small, contributions will help fund scholarships, foster innovation, and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the University of Cincinnati and UC Health.

Organized by the UC Foundation and the UC Alumni Association, UC Day of Giving is a major highlight of Alumni Week, which runs April 7-13. It enables all members of the Bearcat community — alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, patients, caregivers, supporters, and friends — to unite in a shared philanthropic effort. Each year, UC Day of Giving owes its success to the generosity of donors and the enthusiasm of volunteer ambassadors and influencers who inspire participation via social media, email, and personal outreach.

It’s inspiring to see what we can do when we come together on this special occasion.

“This 24-hour challenge allows us to make a significant impact on the future of our university and health system, importantly, as a unified family of Bearcats,” said Rich Bundy, President of the UC Foundation. “It’s inspiring to see what we can do when we come together on this special occasion.”

This year's UC Day of Giving promises to be the largest yet, featuring over 20 exciting challenges and more than $60,000 in matching funds, through which donors will have the opportunity to double their impact. Every gift made through noon on April 9 will count toward UC Day of Giving.

Make your gift today! In addition, all donations made by UC faculty and staff via credit card or payroll deduction between now and April 9 will count toward both UC Day of Giving and the Faculty & Staff Campaign, making a meaningful difference in support of the university’s mission.

"Our unique experiences at UC shape our individual passions around people and programs at the university," said Chief Alumni Officer Jennifer Heisey. "UC Day of Giving is the perfect opportunity to channel that passion into meaningful support and to make a positive impact on the areas of campus we care about the most."
