Lindner, UC to host Big XII + MIS Research Symposium
Information systems, business analytics scholars gather to share ideas
The Carl H. Lindner College of Business and the University of Cincinnati will welcome the 21st annual Big XII + MIS Research Symposium this spring.
From April 17-19, 2026, Lindner’s operations, business analytics, and information systems department will host the Big XII+ MIS Research Symposium, an annual gathering of information systems and business analytics faculty and PhD students.
The symposium provides a platform for scholars to showcase their research in areas such as management issues and applications of artificial intelligence, deep machine-learning and text-mining, data analytics, behavioral economics, technical/analytical work and interdisciplinary theories.

“The Big XII + MIS Research Symposium has provided over 20 years of leadership in information systems research. It is a great forum for developing cutting-edge practices in technology management, application development, artificial intelligence and data analytics systems,” said Andrew Harrison, PhD, associate dean, graduate programs, and associate professor of information systems. “The Lindner College of Business is very excited to have been selected to host the symposium and to share all the great things Cincinnati has to offer with our Big XII colleagues.”
The speakers and participants for the event's keynote address, industry roundtable and editor panel will be released soon. A block of hotel rooms has been reserved at a discounted rate at the nearby Graduate Hotel.
