UC Alumni Week highlights innovation and impact
Alumni invited to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the success of fellow Bearcats for Life
Alumni Week, the UC Alumni Association’s spring spotlight on the alumni family, highlights the remarkable achievements and enormous impact of graduates of the University of Cincinnati. This year’s edition runs April 13-18, featuring a range of experiences — from an insightful BEARCATS/Health webinar to the 24-hour UC Day of Giving challenge to Alumni Reunions hosted by UC Alumni National Networks. Alumni Week’s cornerstone experience, the UC Alumni Celebration at the First Financial Center (Cincinnati Convention Center) on Thursday, April 16, highlights alumni excellence by recognizing 18 uniquely accomplished Bearcats for their innovation and resulting impact on their university, communities and fields of endeavor.
Alumni are invited to attend the Bearcats in the City on Tuesday, April 14. Whether stopping by after work or making a trip to Over-the-Rhine to view the Alumni Celebration mural, this casual gathering offers a great opportunity to connect with fellow alumni while kicking off Alumni Week. Throughout the week, Bearcats across the country will be gathering to celebrate Alumni Week with Alumni Reunions hosted by many UC Alumni National Networks. Alumni will be able to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate alumni success with fellow Bearcats in their cities.
The Wednesday, April 15 BEARCATS/Health webinar will feature Barbara Walker, PhD, A&S ’90, ’94, Professor and Integrative Health and Performance Psychologist at UC’s College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience. Attendees will explore the health benefits of nature featuring a guided virtual forest immersion, and will leave with practical, easy-to-use strategies for incorporating moments of nature into everyday life.
