Sharing good news about Cincinnati area kidney recipient

Last summer, we shared Deneal's story and her search for a life-saving kidney donor. Deneal is an employee at Hoxworth and lives in the Cincinnati area. Through her courage and willingness to speak openly, she helped shine a light on the critical need for both kidney and stem cell donors.

Today, we're thrilled to share an incredible update: Deneal received a kidney transplant in July!

While we celebrate this life-changing milestone, thousands of others are still waiting for the same call. Deneal's story is a powerful reminder that one person's decision to become a donor can change, and even save a life.

Deneal spent more than two years on the transplant list and finally received that life-saving news that a match was found in July 2026.

Deneal is still recovering from surgery and adapting to her new life. We look forward to sharing more with her very soon.

Congratulations, Deneal!

We wish you continued health and happiness in this exciting new chapter.
