UC Benefits Office Takes Home Midwest Best Practices Award

The University of Cincinnati's Benefits Office has received the Midwest Best Practices Award from the Midwest Region of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR).

The Benefits Office received this award for its creation of an integrated benefits communication structure that incorporated a variety of media in order to disseminate information and promote employee self-service.

This comprehensive communications strategy included improving upon the benefits program resource information, incorporating technology to improve employees' access to their benefits information, increasing the number of educational seminars relating to benefits information, developing and implementing benchmarking tools, and using communications as a marketing tool.

The CUPA-HR awards program is designed to promote and reward outstanding performance in the field of human resource administration. Founded more than 50 years ago, CUPA-HR is a member-supported, nonprofit organization serving more than 6,300 human resource administrators at nearly 1,600 colleges and universities, as well as others interested in the advancement of human resources in higher education.
