UC Law Panel to Discuss Immigration and Cincinnati

The issue of immigration in Greater Cincinnati comes under examination at the UC College of Law on March 8, with a panel discussion sponsored by the college's Diversity Committee and the "Immigration and Nationality Law Review."

"Immigration in Cincinnati: Past, Present and Future" will bring in a host of experts to discuss one of the most topical issues facing the region and the nation. The program begins at 11:45 a.m. in the college's Trial Court Room, and is free and open to the public.

Topics to be covered include:

• A look at immigration patterns in the Greater Cincinnati area, and how those patterns inform our current views on immigration
• The intersection between immigration law and domestic violence
• The issue of human trafficking in Cincinnati
• Recent developments in immigration law
• Navigating the immigration system from a personal experience.

Speakers include:

• Xavier Beteta: Graduate UC-CCM, currently teaching at NKU.
• Margaret Drew: Prof. of Clinical Law, Director Domestic Relations/ Violence Clinic
