A&S Student, UC Freshman Class Make Welcome News
The 2006 UC freshman class is just a little smaller, with 121 fewer students, than the one it follows. It has one thing, however, no other class before it can claim: the highest average ACT score on record - 24 out of 36 - for an incoming UC class.

In an Enquirer article published the same day as McMicken College of Arts and Science's Welcome Day celebration, one of those class members, an A&S newcomer, was noted for posting an ACT of 32. "It was gratifying that one of the students who received special mention was Sara Oser, a freshman geology major from Harrison," said Arnold Miller, Geology Department head.
