CET Posts Speech From UC Journalism Event
A speech presented by journalist Hank Klibanoff during an appearance at Tangeman University Center is posted on the CET Web site under the History & Science category. Klibanoff, managing editor/news at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, was part of a Black History Month-focused program featuring journalists and city leaders who witnessed the civil rights struggle from the front line.
The event was sponsored by the UC journalism program in the Department of English and Comparative Literature, University of Cincinnati student chapters of the Association of Black Journalists and the Society of Professional Journalists, the Cincinnati Chapter of the Association of Black Journalists, the Queen City Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and the Jean-Robert French Restaurant Group.

Last month, the College of Arts & Sciences recruitment team and Center for Public Engagement with Science (PEWS) partnered with the central office of admissions to bring the spirit of Bearcats for Life to the Ohio State Fair. Together, the team created a fun, interactive booth experience that connected with more than 450 youth and families, sparking curiosity, conversation, and Bearcat pride.
