Are You or Do You Know a WILD Woman? Nominations Sought for Women's Leadership Collaborative
Established in 2003, the Women's Institute for Leadership Development-Higher Education Collaborative (WILD-HEC) has as its goal to establish a strong network of women in the Greater Cincinnati higher education community. The collaborative is composed of Cincinnati State Technical & Community College, Miami University, College of Mount St. Joseph, Northern Kentucky University, University of Cincinnati (UC) and Xavier University.
The seminar consists of seven sessions on various topics including career development, leadership and fundraising. Sessions are held at participating institutions once a month, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., November through April. The first session is Nov. 5, 2008. The University of CIncinnati underwrites tuition for five UC women.
The collaborative is interested in recruiting participants who meet the following criteria:
- Faculty applicants with a terminal degree who are tenured and who have administrative experience and/or an interest in administration.
- Staff applicants at the rank of director or above with a minimum of a masters degree or professional certification commensurate with their position.
- Note: a minimum of three years employment at the University of Cincinnati is preferred. Faculty and staff who do not meet these criteria may be considered at the discretion of the UC HEC-WILD Selection Committee.
