Free Women s Self-Defense Class
UC Clermont College will be offering a series of free Womens Self-Defense Classes on Mondays in the Student Activities Center. The four Monday classes will be held January 24, 31 and February 7 and 14 at 1 p.m.
This class is being offered for the women in our college community as a service to help build confidence, awareness and basic survival skills, said Student Life Director Kim Ellison.
Learn how to be aware of dangerous environments and how to confront any attacker with confidence. The class will help students project confidence, breathe under pressure, use your body as a weapon, and go for the weak spots on an attacker.
Offered by Master Instructor Mike Franzen of Martial Arts of America, each of the classes will offer something new. Participants may attend one or all of the classes being offered.
This event is being sponsored by the UC Clermont Colleges Student Life organizations. The class is free and open to all female UC Clermont College students, faculty and staff.
