Leading Advocate for Class Action Reform to Speak at Law School Symposium
Theodore H. Frank, president of the Center for Class Action Fairness and a leading tort-reform advocate, will be the lunch keynote speaker at the April 1, 2011 Corporate Law Symposium at the College of Law. The keynote address begins at 12:15 p.m..
Frank says incentives for class action attorneys to negotiate high fees for themselves at the expense of claimants have not disappeared. In fact, attorneys are using numerous strategies to rationalize disproportionate fees. Frank will examine this issue and what can be done to combat it as part of the day-long event.
