Parker Named Director of Development at UC Clermont

Dana C. Parker has been named director of development at UC Clermont College and will begin on Jan. 14. Prior to joining Clermont College, Parker’s background has been in both public education and nonprofit fundraising. She has served in various positions through her tenure as a special education teacher, peer evaluator, teacher-mentor, fundraiser, athletic coach and advisor for young adults at Princeton, Finneytown and Trotwood-Madison school districts. Her roles as a co-founder, event coordinator and community liaison for S3C, an Ohio nonprofit cancer organization, have assisted in uniting the Greater Cincinnati Cancer Community in its fight against the disease.

“I am very pleased to announce that Dana Parker is joining us in this role at UC Clermont," said Dean Gregory Sojka. "Her background will be a great asset to us as we move forward in the Proudly Cincinnati Campaign. We need to take our fundraising activities to the next level including campus projects, and Dana has the enthusiasm and energy to get the job done! I am confident she will hit the ground running."

Parker received her M.A. in Education from Marygrove College in 2004 and her B.S. in Education from Bowling Green State University in 2000. She currently serves on the Ohio Society Daughters of the American Revolution Wings of Eagle Scholarship campaign committee and in the past has aided projects for the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont, Ohio.

“It is an honor to join the UC Clermont College’s outstanding faculty and staff as the director of development. It is energizing to build relationships and develop opportunities for current and future UC students through the united efforts of students, alumni, educators and community members. I look forward to enhancing the future for UC students, allowing them to discover and experience the rewards of UC Clermont’s superb community of higher education,” said Parker.
