Greg Himes Named Interim Men's Basketball Coach at UC Clermont

UC Clermont named Greg Himes as the Interim Men’s Head Basketball Coach today.

 

“Greg will bring his success and experience to Cougars Athletics. We look forward to working with him,” said Athletic Director Brian Sullivan.    

 

“I'm excited for the opportunity to lead the UC Clermont Men's basketball program. We have a rich tradition. We are working hard recruiting to continue that winning tradition," Himes said.

 

Himes' coaching experience includes: Head Basketball Coach at Southern State Community College (2010-2012), Assistant Coach at Mason County and Bracken County high schools in Kentucky, as well as coaching several AAU Basketball Club teams. Himes was named Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference (OCAC) Coach of the Year in 2011-12 and OCAC Co-Coach of the Year in 2010-11.

 

His education includes Master of Education in Sports Administration from Xavier University, Bachelor of Arts from Morehead State University and Associates of Arts Degree from Southern State Community College.
