UC Health Offers Discounts to UC Employees

UC Health will continue its partnership with the University of Cincinnati and its employees and offering even greater benefits to UC employees beginning in 2014.

In January 2014, UC employees will continue to receive a 50 percent co-payment reduction when they see University of Cincinnati Physicians. UC employees will receive an additional 50 percent co-insurance reduction for covered services from both University of Cincinnati Physicians and UC Health hospitals – UC Medical Center, West Chester Hospital, the Daniel Drake Center for Post Acute Care – and their affiliated institutes, centers of excellence, outpatient locations and laboratory services. 

The 50 percent co-insurance reduction will apply after the health plan’s deductible is met, said UC Benefits Director Elizabeth S. Aumann. 

“The relationship between UC Health and UC continues to grow under the leadership of President Santa Ono. We’re delighted as continuation of this program further strengthens our relationship” said UC Health President & CEO Jim Kingsbury.

UC Health has more than 800 specialists who are leaders in their respective fields, Kingsbury said. The hospitals of UC Health and their affiliated institutes and centers of excellence are also recognized nationally and internationally for their innovation and programs, he added.
