Search Commences for New Dean for College of Law

is looking for a new dean.

 

Search committee members describe their ideal candidate for the position as dean of the University of Cincinnati’s College of Law as a visionary leader with a keen mind and a passion for creativity and innovation.

 

David M. Szymanski, dean of the Carl H. Lindner College of Business and professor of marketing, serves as chair of the search committee, which is working with the search firm Park Square Executive Search to recruit candidates.

UC’s College of Law, the fourth-oldest continuously operating law school in the country, also serves as home to:

• The Lois and Richard Rosenthal Institute for Justice

•

The Center for Race, Gender and Social Justice

The Institute for Global Practice of Law

The Weaver Institute for Law and Psychiatry

With a 10 to one student to faculty ratio, UC’s College of Law creates a community of engaged scholars and practitioners who support five journals and seven institutes. It counts among its alumni four Supreme Court justices, including two Chief Justices.
