UC Professor Explores Effects of Living on Kidney Dialysis with New Memoir
After experiences with renal failure and an ensuing six years living on kidney dialysis, University of Cincinnati Professor Emeritus Angelene Jamison-Hall decided to write a memoir detailing the emotional and mental demands of her struggle.
Duck Summer: My Odyssey as a Dialysis Patient, published last November, chronicles Halls journey as a dialysis patient and aims to inform readers about the psychological consequences of End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), as well as its forms of treatment.
Hall teaches courses in UCs Department of Africana Studies.
