All the snow and cold has made for one rough winter for fitness! It may have been hard to keep up – and to try something new to get back into the fitness habit. Consider joining one (or more) of Campus Recreation’s Session 2 specialized classes. Six week- formats include Tai Chi, Acro Yoga, Resolution Training Camp, TRX Circuit, Intro to Salsa & Bachata and more. Visit

Members and non-members are permitted to join these classes, so grab a friend, spouse or neighbor and have some fun. Take advantage of these competitive rates ($30 members and $39 non-members) for 6weeks of classes (no class during spring break). Ancient Maya blessed their ballcourts

Using environmental DNA analysis, researchers identified a collection of plants used in ceremonial rituals in the ancient Maya city of Yaxnohcah. The plants, known for their religious associations and medicinal properties, were discovered beneath a plaza floor upon which a ballcourt was built, suggesting the building might have been blessed or consecrated during construction.
