UC Continues Streak of Recognition as One of Nation's Best Universities
Being named among the nation's best places for an undergraduate education by The Princeton Review never gets old even for the ninth consecutive time.
The Princeton Review, a renowned provider of education services and college research resources, features the University of Cincinnati in the 2016 edition of its premier
annual college guide, "The Best 380 Colleges."
It's the ninth time in a row UC has made the list.
Institutions are chosen for the college guide based on The Princeton Review's surveys of 136,000 students attending the 380 schools. The guide includes detailed college profiles with rankings for all schools in multiple categories based on students' responses. The guide also includes eight ratings in various categories primarily based on surveys of school administrators. Notable ratings for UC include a 94 for fire safety and a 93 for "green" efforts, on a scale of 60-99.
The University of Cincinnati is honored to again be included in The Princeton Reviews Best 380 Colleges guide, says Caroline Miller, vice provost and senior associate vice president for enrollment management. Our increasingly diverse and academically talented student population is as engaging and vibrant as our beautiful campus on which they study, live and play.
Some specific praise for UC in the guide includes:
- UC has students from all walks of life, which makes it extremely diverse and very interesting.
- UC offers a million and one activities for students to partake in during school and on the weekend.
- The cooperative education program gives students a real edge in the job market.
- Ample green spaces and innovative architectural designs make up the beautiful campus.
- Students can find their niche, be it in LGBTQ groups, ethnic groups or academic intercollegiate groups.
