You're Invited to "Chat with the Chief" on Sept. 13
If youre interested in meeting the newest members of the University of Cincinnati police leadership team and learning more about their vision to enhance safety and engagement between UC police and members of the UC community, you need to attend
Chat with the Chief on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 5:30 p.m. in Tangeman University Center, Room 400B.
UC Police Chief Anthony Carter and Lt. Colonel Maris Herold welcome all questions and thoughts from UC students, faculty and staff.
I am eager to meet as many students, faculty and staff members as I can so that I can better understand their perspectives, views and expectations, said Chief Carter. I encourage them to come with questions because the more we understand one another, the better we can relate and begin to build trust.
The Sept. 13 Chat with the Chief session is the first in a series of conversations to be held throughout the 2016-2017 academic year.
Chief Carter, who joined UC on June 20, has 34 years of policing experience, most recently with the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Lt. Colonel Herold, who also joined the university in June, previously served with the Cincinnati Police Department for nearly 25 years. Both Carter and Herold played key roles in the reform of the Cincinnati Police Department during the last 15 years.
