Support Resources For End-of-Semester Grade Submissions

As the University of Cincinnati continues the transition into Catalyst, there are important updates to submitting final grades for instructors. Catalyst will allow instructors to submit grades one of two ways: Instructors can either submit their final grades directly into Catalyst by manual grade entry or they import their final grades from Blackboard into Catalyst.

Instructions for entering and and posting grades are available in the Knowledge Base in text article and video tutorial form:

1. Access the IT@UC Knowledge Base (KB) step-by-step instructions guide to enter final grades.

  • Manual Grade Entry: This allows instructors to manually enter grades for each student in their course by using Catalyst. Detailed steps on how to perform this option can be found in the Knowledge Base here.
  • Import Blackboard Grades into Catalyst: This allows instructors to pull grades into Catalyst from their Blackboard gradebook. Detailed steps on how to perform this option can be found in the Knowledge Base here.
  • Catalyst Video Tutorial: This Catalyst support page hosts video tutorials that demonstrate how to enter and post final grades in Catalyst.
2. Join the Center for Excellence in eLearning for free coffee and assistance with Canopy tools at Open Consultation Days Dec. 12-14.

  • Open Consultation Days will take place noon-5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 12-13, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, in Langsam Library 540B.

3. Call the IT@UC HelpDesk.

  • Technicians at the IT@UC Service Desk will transfer instructors to the Learning Technology Support Team for any eLearning-specific support requests during regular business hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m.) Dec. 12-14.
