UC Clermont’s Calico Children’s Theatre Announces the 2017-18 season. All performances are approximately one hour long and held in the Krueger Auditorium on the UC Clermont campus at 4200 Clermont College Dr.

Dr. Seuss’ “The Cat in the Hat”

Everyone's favorite cat comes to mischievous life in this theatrical adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic. From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that The Cat in the Hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat that they have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and the craziest of ideas, he is certainly loads of fun. He turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure ... but what will mom find when she gets home? Recommended for grades pre-K-5.

Every barnyard has its bully! But two of the barnyard’s chickens, Marge and Lola, will not stand idly by. ArtsPower’s musical portrays the colorful story of these two barnyard chickens on a mission to win the barnyard talent contest first prize of two tickets to see the great Elvis Poultry in concert. But first, they must present a performance that will score higher than a flock of very talented ducks, led by Mac, who loves to play the bully. Can Marge and Lola face their challengers, against all odds, and win the talent contest? Recommended for grades pre-K-5.

“Twas the Night Before Christmas”

Inspired by the timeless poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” and by the real life of its author, Clement Moore, this hilarious musical introduces Santa in a particularly beneficent light. This classic from Virginia Rep has been charming audiences nationwide for many years. Book, music and lyrics by Bruce Craig Miller. Recommended for grades K-6.
