UC Clermont Geology Students Present Research at International Conference
Five UC Clermont College geology students traveled to Seattle Oct. 21-25 to publish and present their research to approximately 8,000 geologists during the Geological Society of Americas international conference.
This was the second publication and research presentation for these undergraduate students. The first was at the Ohio Academy of Science annual conference in April. A summer and autumn of field work in Wyoming, lab data analyses and presentation preparation occupied the students time between the two presentations.
These bright, enthusiastic and capable geology undergraduates have taken the opportunity to grow in their field and establish themselves as likely candidates for fellowship-scholarship support, graduate education and higher level employment, said geology Professor Mandy Hunt. UC Clermont geology students design and work on their own projects beginning in their first semester. We are extremely proud of the excellent accomplishments our distinguished students have achieved.
