UC College of Nursing Seeks Nominations for 11th Annual Nightingale Awards

The Board of Advisors of the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing is seeking nominations for the 11th annual Florence Nightingale Awards for Excellence in Nursing.  Awards will be presented on April 24 with each recipient receiving a commemorative plaque as well as either a Board of Advisors Award (six $1000 monetary awards), or a Dean’s Award (ten $400 monetary awards).Nominees must meet the following criteria:· Demonstrate excellence in direct patient care · Currently be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN)· Be a resident and currently employed in Greater Cincinnati Nominators are asked to describe, in detail, the reasons why the nominee deserves a Florence Nightingale Award, citing specific examples of direct patient care.  Nominations will be accepted from patients, family and friends of patients, colleagues, physicians and other health care workers.  An individual may nominate more than one nurse.  Nurses previously nominated may be re-nominated this year.Nomination forms are available on the College of Nursing Web site at
