Society for the Study of Reproduction to Host 36th Meeting in Cincinnati
The Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR) will host their 36th Annual Meeting July 19-22 in Cincinnati. The meeting will focus on new discoveries in the field of reproductive biology and medicine in humans, domestic species and endangered animal wildlife.
This year's meeting, which is expected to welcome over 1300 reproductive biologists and trainees from 30 different countries, is sponsored by the
(UC) and the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, with support from the
Professor Lord Winston of the Imperial College School of Medicine, London, England, will focus on the current status of assisted reproductive technologies in his keynote speech titled "IVF/ART: Progress and Concerns." A President's Symposium will focus on the impact of the environment on reproductive health.
Paolo Sassone-Corsi, Institut de Genetique et de Biologie Moleculaire et Cullulairel, Strasbourg, France; and Benita S. Ktzenellenbogen of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will present state-of-the-art lectures on molecular, genetic and cellular aspects of reproductive health.
S.K. Dey, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will present the Bruce C. Moulton, PhD, Memorial Lecture titled "Molecular Road Map to Implantation: Past, Present and Future." This lecture, sponsored by the
UC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
, honors the late Dr. Moulton, a former member of the department who was very active in SSR.
