Nursing is a proud and honored profession and nurses give their all in providing the care and health promotion that everyone needs, says Andrea Lindell, DNSc, dean of UC College of Nursing. Its truly an honor to be nominated, and always difficult to choose those few nurses for individual recognition from among the meritorious nominees.
Were extremely pleased and proud of those selected to receive the Florence Nightingale Award and the Deans Award. They truly represent the highest caliber of caregivers and reflect the achievements of many, many nurses. Were grateful to and proud of each honored nurse because they truly reflect the virtues of Florence Nightingale.
This years awards ceremony will also honor Omnicare, which has supported the Nightingale Awards since 1995, for being a consistent sponsor.
